The rivalry between GREEN and BLUE was recently featured in the NY YORK TIMES. The fire has reached the East Coast already! Hehe! Here's the link:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/23/sports/23rivalry.html?ex=1348200000&en=5818959aca2143a6&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

But the thing is...the article seems to portray the Archers as "siga" while the Eagles as "good boys"...not really!! Oh well...can't blame the author though...all our players have "semi-kalbo" looks and some of them has tattoos (or only Walsham?)...oh well! It was just funny!

My ANIMO LASALLE! Teddy Bear...and a box of Tongari Corn. It's endorsing it! LOL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TY TANG!!!!

Good luck on the game on THURSDAY!!!!!
Last night was the part 2 of Ready 2 Rumble featuring the guys of Green Archer Radio and Halikinuin NU 107. And I texted a message (again! I sent Chris Tiu messages before to Halikinu...haha!)...but it was a neutral one. Just to pay respect to both teams. My 1st msg that was read was:

"I luv TY and Chris Tiu! Can't wait to see the best friends battle it out again on Thurs!"

And my second msg was:

"Hello Green Archer Radio and Halikinu guys! I want to ask, what do you think will be d most crucial move each team must make to win on Thurs?"

And it was answered by Olsen "Rah-Rah" Racela. Hehe! I was not able to reflect on his answer...probably because I was ecstatic that both of my msgs (again!) were read on air! Hihi! But I'll just wait their video post on Youtube! Thanks guys for reading my msgs!!!!

ANIMO LASALLE!!!!! Shucks...Thank you LORD!!!!! 70-69...finally we were able to beat the Eagles!!! What a game!!! Nakakakaba na naman as usual...but at least Casio fired up...Tang caught up in the hot hot race and Rico Maierhoffer was still in good form even with a painful ankle! Hope he doesn't force himself too much. May game pa!!!

Yahoo yahoo!!!! Sabi na eh...there's always hope!!! I don't know kung makakanood ulit ako..but thankful ao kahit papaano nakanood ako ng isang game versus UE. Basta manalo sila masaya ako!!! Yahoo!!!!!!!!

Take note: Nagkabanggaan ang best friends na sina TY Tang and Chris Tiu...lagot!!! LOL! I also like the contrast between TY and Salamat...gets???? Haha!!!

TWICE TO BEAT! TWICE TO BEAT! TWICE TO BEAT!!!!!!

84-92...UE won 14-0...argh! We could have broken that streak! Sayang na sayang talaga! The last 3.5 seconds of the 4th qtr was the most crucial one...the free throws by Casio could have won that. As Coach Franz said to PDI...of all people who could have missed...it was Casio. I don't want to blame him anymore. I know the pressure was too high.

And if I'm not mistaken with 1 second left...the Archers had possesion of the ball and Rico Maierhoffer could have shot it directly to the basket...but the ball sis not reach his hands. Sigh. It must have been fate that played on them. UE was meant to get the 14-0 streak.

Anyways...I still love the Archers!!! They are still in Third place and anything can still happen. The games are not over yet!!!

ANIMO LASALLE!!!

Tomorrow...Sept. 13 the Archer will be facing the unbeatable gang of the UE RED WARRIORS. After a loss from the Eagles...beating this unbeatable squad would really really push us to the top. No more need for a losing game now since the Eagles are tied with them already. I know they can pull off something good tomorrow. I always believed in them. ANIMO LASALLE!!!

Wish I will really be able to witness it live tomorrow!!!!

Wohoooo!!!

Sunday, July 23, 2006

Ehem, they're missing our Green Archers...tsk tsk tsk!

We shall return! LOL! :)

Monday, June 12, 2006

The new UAAP is just around the corner, and things will never be the same again. Less excitement, less selling of tickets, less spaces to be filled in Araneta, less players to watch out for, and a whole lot more other LESS!

Cge next season na lang uli! Harhar!

Saturday, February 11, 2006

Mahn...the UAAP board did not accept the Green Archers LOA from the league. I don't know what will happen but things are getting longer than expected. They keep on telling that they will come up with a final decision soon. But let's see... maybe there will be no decision until July? Duh they have to decide before the start of the new season!

Of course I'm against the suspension if ever that happens. I feel sad about it. UAAP will not be as exciting as it was before. Bah! But anyway whatever they may say...as long it is just, I'll accept it.

Good luck to the Green Archers!

*Amidst the unsolved controversy shadowing the team...I still hope for the best for this team...hopefully things needed to be done will be implemented...okay even with what happened between the All-Star game match between ADMU and DLSU. That really got dirty in the middle of the 2nd game. Shouldn't have happened though. Oh well...

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MAC-MAC CARDONA!!!!!! (November 13, 2005)

Wednesday, October 12, 2005

It has been 3 years since the Green Archer’s roster was strengthened by a new batch of rookies. 3 years since the face of this team has changed. 3 years I have been screaming to death for the Green Archers during their games. The memory of those three years is about to shatter since I read from the newspaper about the controversy shadowing the team today.

The team said they are READY to give-up their 2004 championship crown and their 2005 1st runner-up trophy if the UAAP board decides it that way. It all might happen because of fielding an ineligible player for the last three years. I don’t know when they knew about it. It seemed they just knew it a few days ago. It still confuses me. I hope to get more answers soon.

Who is that unnamed ineligible player? Who is the real culprit behind this? 3 years of hard work by the team and cheers from fans might just be thrashed. I really don’t want that to happen. It hurts me to know about this.

But whatever happens, like what my friend Kath said, it will still remain in our hearts that they were the champions of 2004 and that every game that they fought were hardly fought. ANIMO LASALLE!

"We'll fight to keep our glory bright, and never shall we fail! Hail to thee our alma mater, HAIL, HAIL, HAIL!!!!!"

The Green Archers have fallen in the hands of the FEU Tamaraws in Game 2 of the finals series with a final score of 73-71. yes, the Archers were short again with 2 points. It may be a sad thought for some but for me I did not really feel very sad about this because I saw how great the Archers played in this game. I know they really gave their all. But the other team also gave their all and only one team should win. But the two close games that happened between them were proof that the Archers were a worthy opponent to the Tamaraws in the finals.

Thanks to the Green Archers for making my stay in DLSU a very fruitful one. I am really grateful that I was able to be part of the Lasallian community that cheered in their games in front of the TV or live. I will never forget shouting "GO LASALLE, GO GO LASALLE!", "REKTIKANO KEENA KEENA...", "Ooooooohhhoooooohhooohhh ANIMO LASALLE!", "D-L-S-U ARCHERS...", "SHOOT THAT BALL", "DEFENSE", "L-A-S-A-LL-E LASALLE RAH", "GREEN WHITE WHITE WHITE, GO FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT" and "GO LASALLE, GO LASALLE, GO LASALLE LASALLE LASALLE." Oooohhhh I'm gonna be miss being part of the undergrad crowd! But anyway I'll try my best to watch the games next season as an alumnus and I'll still cheer like I did before. My idols are still there anyway like Tang (if he suits up next season) and Casio!!! Wohoo!!!! Go guys next year!

Too bad I wasn't able to watch lots of games this season live...I was only able to watch the DLSU-FEU 1st game in the elimination round. Oh well that's okay...I really had a blast anyway last season when I was really able to watch all the finals games live and yipee we won that season! That was my fave season ever! Thanks Archers for letting my batch have a taste of the championship! It might have been a dynasty like your 4-peat before, but heck this championship you had last season was truly awesome anyway! I was glad to be part of it! Weeehee bonfire and lots of food during the Animo party! Hehe!

I'm gonna miss the UAAP...waaahhhh!! But like I said I'll still be cheering even at work...LOL! Wherever I'll be, and whetevr I'll be doing by next season, I'll still keep the ANIMO in me!!!!

ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!!!

SHAME!

The Archers won against the Blue Eagles in the semis last Sunday and then moved on to the finals to be able to play in Game 1 a while ago against the FEU Tamaraws!
But Shame! Shame on the person who hit Arwind Santos' head a while ago after the beautiful first game of the finals of DLSU and FEU! Of course it was saddening to see DLSU lose game 1 by 2 points but still that is not so bad but it was the shameful act that made my day worse. I don't know why that really happened. It seemed that taunting was already brewing between Yeo and Santos but of course we don't know what they were saying and who started the taunting. As Lasallians, we should respect even our enemies after a loss most of all if it was won fare and square.
I dunno, I need some answers here. Why did that have to happen? Anyway the Archers still had a good game. There is still Game 2!
ANIMO LASALLE!!!!

Monday, September 19, 2005

The Archers defeated the UE Red Warriors with a very satisfying score of 79-67! This just proves that the Archers peak at the right time and when they are oppressed very hard (duh, the boardroom) they try to stand up again and make wonders to win more games!! Yahoo!!!!
More storms would come...but the Archers will be ready to face them all...dominate the final four game and get on with the finals! ANIMO LASALLE!!!! :)
