God did provide me with the time just top greet everyone a very...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

You see my internet card already ran out but look...I was still able to post! Yahoo! This was truly a Christmas miracle!

Thank you LORD for the ALL THE BLESSINGS you have given me...may I still deserve to receive more blessings in the coming years!

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

*Amidst the unsolved controversy shadowing the team...I still hope for the best for this team...hopefully things needed to be done will be implemented...okay even with what happened between the All-Star game match between ADMU and DLSU. That really got dirty in the middle of the 2nd game. Shouldn't have happened though. Oh well...

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MAC-MAC CARDONA!!!!!! (November 13, 2005)

Wednesday, October 12, 2005

It has been 3 years since the Green Archer’s roster was strengthened by a new batch of rookies. 3 years since the face of this team has changed. 3 years I have been screaming to death for the Green Archers during their games. The memory of those three years is about to shatter since I read from the newspaper about the controversy shadowing the team today.

The team said they are READY to give-up their 2004 championship crown and their 2005 1st runner-up trophy if the UAAP board decides it that way. It all might happen because of fielding an ineligible player for the last three years. I don’t know when they knew about it. It seemed they just knew it a few days ago. It still confuses me. I hope to get more answers soon.

Who is that unnamed ineligible player? Who is the real culprit behind this? 3 years of hard work by the team and cheers from fans might just be thrashed. I really don’t want that to happen. It hurts me to know about this.

But whatever happens, like what my friend Kath said, it will still remain in our hearts that they were the champions of 2004 and that every game that they fought were hardly fought. ANIMO LASALLE!

"We'll fight to keep our glory bright, and never shall we fail! Hail to thee our alma mater, HAIL, HAIL, HAIL!!!!!"

The Green Archers have fallen in the hands of the FEU Tamaraws in Game 2 of the finals series with a final score of 73-71. yes, the Archers were short again with 2 points. It may be a sad thought for some but for me I did not really feel very sad about this because I saw how great the Archers played in this game. I know they really gave their all. But the other team also gave their all and only one team should win. But the two close games that happened between them were proof that the Archers were a worthy opponent to the Tamaraws in the finals.

Thanks to the Green Archers for making my stay in DLSU a very fruitful one. I am really grateful that I was able to be part of the Lasallian community that cheered in their games in front of the TV or live. I will never forget shouting "GO LASALLE, GO GO LASALLE!", "REKTIKANO KEENA KEENA...", "Ooooooohhhoooooohhooohhh ANIMO LASALLE!", "D-L-S-U ARCHERS...", "SHOOT THAT BALL", "DEFENSE", "L-A-S-A-LL-E LASALLE RAH", "GREEN WHITE WHITE WHITE, GO FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT" and "GO LASALLE, GO LASALLE, GO LASALLE LASALLE LASALLE." Oooohhhh I'm gonna be miss being part of the undergrad crowd! But anyway I'll try my best to watch the games next season as an alumnus and I'll still cheer like I did before. My idols are still there anyway like Tang (if he suits up next season) and Casio!!! Wohoo!!!! Go guys next year!

Too bad I wasn't able to watch lots of games this season live...I was only able to watch the DLSU-FEU 1st game in the elimination round. Oh well that's okay...I really had a blast anyway last season when I was really able to watch all the finals games live and yipee we won that season! That was my fave season ever! Thanks Archers for letting my batch have a taste of the championship! It might have been a dynasty like your 4-peat before, but heck this championship you had last season was truly awesome anyway! I was glad to be part of it! Weeehee bonfire and lots of food during the Animo party! Hehe!

I'm gonna miss the UAAP...waaahhhh!! But like I said I'll still be cheering even at work...LOL! Wherever I'll be, and whetevr I'll be doing by next season, I'll still keep the ANIMO in me!!!!

ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!!!

SHAME!

The Archers won against the Blue Eagles in the semis last Sunday and then moved on to the finals to be able to play in Game 1 a while ago against the FEU Tamaraws!
But Shame! Shame on the person who hit Arwind Santos' head a while ago after the beautiful first game of the finals of DLSU and FEU! Of course it was saddening to see DLSU lose game 1 by 2 points but still that is not so bad but it was the shameful act that made my day worse. I don't know why that really happened. It seemed that taunting was already brewing between Yeo and Santos but of course we don't know what they were saying and who started the taunting. As Lasallians, we should respect even our enemies after a loss most of all if it was won fare and square.
I dunno, I need some answers here. Why did that have to happen? Anyway the Archers still had a good game. There is still Game 2!
ANIMO LASALLE!!!!

The Archers defeated the UE Red Warriors with a very satisfying score of 79-67! This just proves that the Archers peak at the right time and when they are oppressed very hard (duh, the boardroom) they try to stand up again and make wonders to win more games!! Yahoo!!!!
More storms would come...but the Archers will be ready to face them all...dominate the final four game and get on with the finals! ANIMO LASALLE!!!! :)

Success! Archers were able to shot down two birds in a row!

After defeating the Adamson Falcons with a whopping 100-70 score, they then trampled their archrivals, the Ateneo Blue Eagles with a 72-55 score! Yahoo! We only need one more win to be able to gain the second spot! GO ARCHERS! You guys shot down the Warriors again! You proved before that you can beat them, so just show your stuff! ANIMO LASALLE!
Hopefully when I come back you guys are already in the finals! Wohoo!!!!!

Hello! haven't been able to watch the games because I'm out of the country. But it seemed there was a problem with the UE game....we were supposed to be the winner but it was reversed. Anyway I love this pic.Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At least we won against UP! GO GO ARCHERS!!!!!!

Wednesday, August 31, 2005

Last August 21 the Archers were beaten only by 1 point by the FEU Tamarraws. Too bad...it would have strengthen our chances for the final four...but still their performance that day was superb...it means they can still beat the tamarraws when the right time comes! Last Sunday they routed the Bulldogs to extend their winning games to six. This Thursdsay they will be facing the strong UE Red Warriors...hopefully the Archers could get their revenge from them! Come to think of it, they also lost by one point from this team! Argh! GO ARCHERS! Unfortunately I won't be able to watch the remaining games of the Archers starting on Thursday for I'll be out of the country and too bad the place I'll be staying did not subscribe for TFC! Huhu!I'll just check out www.greenarcher.net from time to time! Hopefully when I come back they already have gotten a slot in the final four so that I could watch more live games! Wohoo!!! ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!!

The game between the DLSU Green Archers and the UST Growling Tigers was not televised last Thursday and so it may be unknown to many that the Archers have beaten them with a 98-72 score. yeo again led the Archers against the Tigers with 28 points! Boy, we need a Yeo like that in their game later against the FEU Tamarraws! Also other Archers really have contributed large numbers like Cabatu (19), Casio (15) and Aquino (10). Hopefully we can beat the Tamarraws later and beat all of the teams thatpushed us down from the first down! GO LASALLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Archers now at 4-3 and still going strong! Theymay have lost their last game against FEU, but they exploded once more in their last game for the first round against NU, 91-70. Joseph Yeo showed his best performance ever in this season garnering 30 points! Hope to see more Joseph Yeo like this one in the next round! 4-3 is not a bad standing at all, since they just tied their first round standing last season, and what happened after that? Opf course every Green Archer fan knows that! Hehe!. And so people aren't really doubting them, and they really shouldn't cause the Archers still have the power to rule over this league! GO ARCHERS!!!!!!

Next game: Against UST (they recently defeated UP!) on Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Blue Eagle Gym (not televised) and so use your cellphones to get some live updats on that time by keying UAAP LIVE and send it to 2366

Congrats to mac Cardona for being a member of the Air21 PBA team!!!! Wohoooo!!!!
Congrats to Mac Cardona for being the 5th overall pick in th recently concluded PBA draft. he will now join former DLSU team mate Ren-Ren Ritualo and former Eagle rival Wesley Gonzales in the Air21 team! Go Mac! Show them your greatness in playing and try to prove that you should have been the no. 1 pick! Hehe! But anyway ranks don't really represents a player's true talent anyway! I'll be watching Captain Hook when the new PBA season starts on October!

Archer fans, the next game of DLSU will be on Thursday against a stronger UST team who have just beaten UP. Anything could happen, but my prayers will always be with the Archers and so ANIMO LASALLE!

They exploded in their game against UST, scoring 20 points higher than UST, 98-78. It was really a great game for the Archers, and Joseph Yeo showed his first great performance in this season with 18 points! But after winning back to back, it was back to reality when they faced the raging FEU Tamarraws yesterday. They lost by 7 points, 62-69 but nevertheless I could say I did not regret being able to watch the game live. It was still a good game. I still loved how the Archers tried to catch up...it was at the end of the 3rd qtr when they almost grabbed the lead from the Tamarraws, 46-50, but a 9-0 run broke that hope. However, I can't expect more...we all know that FEU is the team to beat this season. But still another game is still waiting...I know the Archers would peak AGAIN on the right time,. You guys just wait and see!!! I also want to commend TY Tang's performance again for leading the Archers for 17 points! he's the man right now! You go TY!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!! We could still do it next time! ANIMO LASALLE!!!! KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!

2-2! Archers Shot the Soaring Falcons!

The scare that this game brought was more than what a horror flick can give. The Archers led the game for the whole 3 quarters. It was in the 4th quarter when Adamson attempted to lead the game with a 1-point margin. It was TY Tangs's 3-point shot that boosted the Archers offense after a 8 minute slump (Gosh!). 58-65 was the final score and TY Tang led all the Archers with 19 points! I really really admire how TY Tang is handling the team. He really improved ever since his not-so-good rookie days. He might not be a Mike Cortez, but yeah...he's TY TANG and he's got character to lead the Archers well! Hope this 2-2 standing would improve more in their next games!!!! ANIMO LASALLE!!!!

Archers now 1-2 (Vs. UE)

It's not a good record...but there are some games left for the Archers to improve their record. I'm still not losing hope until the Final Four has been selected. The fight with UE was really close though. Both teams led in scoring from time to time...and the result was a 1 point score deficit for the Archers to win the game. Waaaaaahhhh!!! Too bad!!! Come to think of it...only 5 players scored in UE, but all of them scored in double-digits...on the other hand 9 players scored from the Archers...but only Yeo was in double-digits. Clearly our bench is deep...but it just lacked something? Was it a leader or was it heart? I really don't know...but all I hope is that they regain their composure for their next game against ADU! I know they can do it! KEEP THE FAITH! ANIMO LASALLE!

It was a close game. But sad to say the Archers lost to the fast-improving UP team by 5 points. Their standing now is 1-1. Heck, I already forgot the score...oh well. The first quarter was so close that you wouldn't be able to predict who will win. Tang really did well in this quarter. But it was the 2nd quarter (again) who determined who will win the game. It was in the 2nd quarter when UP started to move away from the Archer's score. The Archers failed to dominate in the 2nd half as well. During the last minutes of the quarter Jvee Casio tried very hard to shoot his 3's...but it wasn't any help for them to win. They lacked the fire they had against ADMU. Now it should serve as a lesson again...don't lose fire in any game!!!!!! Their next opponent will be UE...another strong contender. How will the Archers get on with this game? Will they implement new learnings to this game? That is what I hope for because I know they could really pull off a good game...well ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!!!

Little people can really prevail against bigger guys. The DLSU Green Archers have proven this in their fantastic game last Sunday against ultimate archrival Ateneo Blue Eagles.

Really, it was not expected to turn up like this, 78-60 in favor of DLSU. It was really a surprise....and it was a really great surprise. It just proves that our Archers haven't lost the spark as champions even their main man (and my forever idol) Captain Hook already left the team. Yes, the commentators said it seemed that the Archers weren't missing Capt. Hook but I think that was not really the case. They just found motivation to maintain their good playing status even with their main man....but Capt. Hook will never be forgotten in the hearts of every Lasallian!!!!

It was really a good first game unlike last year. Let's just not hope that the opposite might happen. Please...I will always believe in the ability of the Archers...KEEP THE FAITH!
Now I'm looking forward for more 3-pt showers from Casio (wohooo!), Cabatu, Arana, Yeo (Go atene-YEO), Cua (guys, this guy really has potential...he just has to reveal it in the next games), Tang and the other guys (do I need to enumerate all? All of them will be able to contribute!)....
GO LASALLE!!!!! ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!

1 week to go before the opening of UAAP SEASON 68!!!! I'm now excited for the new adventures the Archers may experience. Their adventures would be every Archers fans adventures too. I gotta get ready! I'm gonna go CRAZY again! Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!

Sad to say that my idol Captain Hook is not in the team anymore! he was my No. 1 fave since my crazy frosh days!!! My friends could narrate how crazy I was with Captain Hook! Now I can say I have mellowed...but during the games I'm still crazy shouting!! Wohoooo!!!

Will the Archers be able to defend their crown? Will they be able to start a new record regards opening games? How will the DLSU-ADMU games occur? Will I get another lucky chance to sit on patron seats? Will I have more pics with the Archers? Hehe! Enough!

Let's just see...:)

I know this is a late greeting but anyway I just wanna say CONGRATS to MAC CARDONA for becoming the PBL's MVP!!!! Yahoo! At last he made it!!! I'm so happy! Good luck on Aug during the PBA draft! May you join a good team!!! I'll be watching you again! Yahoo!

Wednesday, June 01, 2005

Waaaahhh, Harbour Centre was not able to enter the semis!!! It looks like the PBA draft is where I'll be seeing Mac Cardona next. I hope he really makes it, and hopefully he becomes a member of Alaska or San Miguel!! Go Mac!

By the way I already have seen the tentative schedule for Season 68! JUly 9, 2005 would be the opening of the UAAP with ADAMSON as the host. And guess what? The rivalry continues as DLSU and ADMU face-off again in the 2nd day of the opening, July 10, 2005 at the Araneta Coliseum at 4:00 pm! I hope I'll be able to watch again! This would be the last UAAP season I will be able to watch as an undergrad...so I have to scream louder this time (I don't want to go crazy in the crowd as an alumni, that would be embarassing!)!!!!

Tuesday, May 24, 2005

I have not watched Harbour Centre's other games, too bad for me. I was only able to watch two so far, and both of it resulted in a loss. Argh! Oh well...as far as I know tomorrow they will have another match with Welcoat (tama?) and this game would ecide if they could enter the semis! So good luck to them! Go go Mac Cardona!!! :)

Thursday, April 14, 2005

Mac Cardona is now playing for Harbour Center, another new team in the PBL which is mainly composed of Addict Mobile team members...along with Jerwin Gaco he is also playing with...yeah...with ADMU players like Tenorio, Bugia, Membrere etc!!!! Nice combination huh? Let's see how well they will fare! So far Mac has been the top scorer in their past games (wasn't able to catch all of it though...I'll try to catch their other games!)...he surely is ready for the PBA!!! GO MAC!!!!!! :)

Wednesday, March 16, 2005

After the long jubilation of earning the championship in Season 67...it is time for some sad news. What has been rumors before had turn to facts because "Captain Hook" Mac cardona is finally leaving DLSU to pursue his dreams in the PBA. But anyway I'll still support his decision since he is my idol and ever since I admired him as I player I told myself that whenever he turns pro I'm still gonna support him (hopefully I can catch live PBA games). I hope Mac would be a top draft pick (he should be!) and he must go to the best team (hopefully san Miguel or Alaska!). Go Mac!!!! ANIMO LASALLE! Thanks for all the great plays you have shown to us!

Friday, January 21, 2005

Yes, Welcoat defeated us again, and by 30 points! Despite Captain Hook scoring 23 points, it did not help us get closer with the enemy's score.

Congratulations still for a very great season! I believe they really did better this time, knowing that they faced Goliaths! They are the Davids in the league and they were still able to keep up...great job guys! I know this conference have helped them train for the next UAAP season. We'll be expecting more spectacular plays from you guys in the future! can't wait!!!

Besides, there is still light for the team for Captain hook is leading the points statistical race! I'm gonna get really mad if he doesn't even get into the Mythical Five!!!! A MVP award? Let's see!

ANIMO LASALLE!

Monday, January 17, 2005

The Archers have finally entered the quarterfinals by beating Wecoat yesterday, 95-89!!! Bye bye Toyata-Otis Letran and Air Philippines!!!! Anyway Captain hook scored 31 points and 11 rebounds! Great stats there! And The Ninja scored 23 points! These guys are really great!

I would also like to thank them for goin on overtime, if not for that I wouldn't have watched the game for I was asleep the whole 4 quearters of the game...I was really sleepy that time...it seems they really wanted me to watch the game...LOL!

Yeo is back on track by hitting lots of triples...keep it up!

ANIMO LASALLE!

KEEP THER FAITH! HOPE IS STILL ALIVE! Beat Welcoat again on Tuesday!!!!!

Saturday, January 08, 2005

60-72, it really seemed that FEU really wanted to get back big from the Archers. Oh well it was raining with 3-point shots courtesy of Yeo, and Cua also made one. It was tight at first but the 3rd qtr hammered the Archers down. The lead became big in the 4th qtr. The Archers tried to come back with a few minutes left but it was just not enough. One ore game against Welcoat, let's just see what will happen...ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!
The Archers lost in their last game with Montana, it was not really bad though cause it was really a tight game. But the Archers missed the big contributions from hard-working sophomore Ryan Arana and 2003 UAAP ROY Jayvee Casio. Ryan scored none, and Jayvee only scored 2 despite Mac leading with 18 points and Tang, Yeo and Benitez providing 10 points each.

Now they are facing Magnolia FEU, their hot hot rival from the last UAAP season. It is currently a close game and I hope I'll be able to give out good news in my next post! ANIMO LASALLE!!!!

Sunday, January 02, 2005

No PBL games yet...so I have no updates yet about ICTSI...

Good news is...COACH FRANZ is back again!!!!! Wohoo!!! Thanks Coach!!!! 3 more years of fun and adventure!!!!!! ANIMO LASALLE!!!!!!!!!
